Alright well today was a fun day, and now that it’s over (presque) it’s becoming even better. Why you ask? Because now, at 9pm, we are T minus 13 hours from Disney Paris!! Ahh I’m so excited. I really think that if I was going with my own family, I wouldn’t be this excited. But the fact that I’m going with 7 kids makes things seem so much more fun! Well, back to today. I woke up at 10:30 (I wanted to sleep late because starting tomorrow I’m working at 9am for the next 6 days) and went upstairs (still in PJs) to have breakfast. Salome wasn’t home because she spent the night at Zoe’s and the boys went with David to the doctor’s office. Sacha hasn’t been feeling good this week so that’s why they went to the doctor. Geraldine was the only one home. She was checking emails when I came into the salon to eat and to my surprise was watching France’s MTV, It was an hour of music videos so together we watched them and she sang along while I hummed along. I know why a lot of hit French songs but not well enough to sing all the words. So, often I stick to just humming.
At 11 while Geraldine was in the shower, Katja came by to say Bye and drop off the girls. She seemed pressed to leave, which was funny (I think she was more excited to leave) because her flight wasn’t till this afternoon. Well, when she left the girls watched “La Boum” (the first one). Since I hadn’t seen the movie since highschool I told the girls after a quick shower I’d come back up and watch it with them. Y’all I can’t even tell you how long it’s been since I’ve watched a movie in the morning. Haha, probably not since I was their age. At 12:30 we all had lunch. (A whole plate of mashed potatoes with meat on top.) When we finished all us girls ran back into the house to finsh the movie by 2. At 1:30 Geraldine left for work and David put Noa down for his nap.
We finished our movie around that time and the girls left (toutes seuls) for their ropes course camp. I could have walked them (even though I didn’t technically work till 3) but he said if they were together they could walk it alone. You all should have seen their faces. It was as if David had told them they could drive the car or something. They were so excited to be able to go alone. Well I stayed at the house and pack my bag for Disney. At lunch I asked Geraldine exactly what I needed to pack and she told me. Tomorrow’s it’s supposed to rain but Sunday and Monday it’s going to be in the 80’s! Perfect weather for an amusement park! I got everything (2 days worth of clothes, bathing suit, pajamas, etc.) into my Vera Bradley duffle; toiletries and all. I’m bringing one pair of flip flops and one bathing suit (are you happy, mum? i packed lightly!). When I finished with my stuff I did the kid’s laundry which didn’t take long and then read upstairs while Sacha watched a movie. The poor thing looked so sick laying on the couch watching his movie.
When Noa woke up the boys played in the yard and David left to get some last minute things for Disney. P.S. Disney Paris is a complete surprise for Noa and Sacha. They have no clue we’re going tomorrow. At 5 Lucie, Zoe’s mom brought Salome home and when she got back we all headed to the park. David met us there after an hour and Salome and I (who had been doing gymnastics all over the lawns) decided to play with the frisbee. David joined us, and then so did Sacha. (Noa was too amused with the sand box to leave it.) We played frisbee for maybe an hour, no joke. It was really fun. When we left and came home David made dinner and I did the baths. When the kids were finishing up, Lily Carla and Paul Hugo rung the bell. They had been dropped off from horse back riding camp and were spending the night here till we leave tomorrow for Disney Paris. The rest of that family (Tata Elizabeth, Amelie Rose, and Jules Arthur) will all be meeting us at Disney Paris at some point tomorrow once they fly back from “le pays-bas” (literally meaning “the low country” (or just southern france)). I also found out today, that I’m not going to have just 7 kids this weekend, but really 9. Tata Rebecca, Tonton Manu, Elise and Baptiste are also coming. So I’ve got 9 kids. Still, I only have to be with the “grands” (big kids) so that makes things easier!
Well when LC and PH walked in the door, PH’s leg was in a cast and he had colorful crutches under his arms. The poor thing broke his leg at camp. For dinner we had coucous and really good toasted tomato and cheese pieces of toast. (Haha, I don’t know the name for it, nor a better way to describe it. Sorry.) After dinner the two new kids took showers while I did all their dirty camp laundry. It’s now 9:30, I’m done blogging and I need to go change the laundry. Don’t expect a blog for the next two nights, maybe three nights depending on how tired I’ll be when we get back Monday.
